TV & Entertainment Summit
The TV & Entertainment Summit’s focus is to mentor entertainment professionals through a series of workshops, panel discussions and TV screenings. In doing so, the TV & Entertainment Summit has partnered with executives from studios like ABC, NBC, FOX, and BET in addition to, producers, actors and storytellers to provide a cinematic experience.
The TV & Entertainment Summit presents opportunities for education and training to up and coming artists (writers, directors, producers, actors) and budding executives. Participants walk away motivated and excited after this four day immersion of information and networking.

TV Writer’s Workshop – 10:00am – 11:15am
TV Writer’s Workshop is a crash course on the fundamentals of writing for television. This workshop will help strengthen the skills of writers at all levels. The course will review story, techniques, structure and format according to industry standards.
Pitching Workshop – 11:30pm – 12:30pm
In this workshop, you will develop and strengthen your pitch, polish your presentation skills, and learn how to clearly market your film, TV or new media project.
Agent Panel – 12:30pm – 1:45pm
Learn from industries best talent agents during an exclusive discussion about what agents look for when scouting talent, how to land a talent agent and how to determine if your agent is a good match for you.
New Media Panel – 2:00pm – 3:15pm
This workshop focuses on digital media and online content. Learn about the power of digital media and business strategies for success.
Diversity Panel – 3:30pm – 4:45pm
This panel will feature executives from diversity and multicultural departments at various television networks

Casting and Actor’s Workshop – 11:00am – 12:15pm
During this workshop, participants will learn from veteran casting directors and actors on techniques to improve their acting abilities and prepare for auditions. The intentions of this panel is to help boost actors overall performances.

This is an in depth conversation with some of the most highly sought after producers in Hollywood. We will discuss career trajectory, lessons learning along the way and what’s in store for the future of these power brokers.

The Annual Professional Mentorship Program
The professional mentorship program will take place August 28th – August 30, 2015 exclusively during the TV and Entertainment Summit. Participants will have an opportunity to connect with a professional mentor in their career field.
During the program, there will be opportunities for mentees to work with their mentor to:
- Develop a clear picture of what it takes to build a career in the entertainment industry
- Find out how to be effective in their current career with an eye towards advancement
- Formulate ideas and make new connections
- Brainstorm ideas on where to focus one’s energy
